Asphyixa was first revealed by an artwork leak at the end of 2007. The design has remained much the same, other than more emphases on suffocation, which is of course what "Asphyixa" is. You can clearly see a pair on hands smothering its face. The sexual theme is quite pronounced in Asphyxia, as it appears to be people literally piled on top of each other.

The famous Pyramid Head has made a return to Silent Hill to torment Alex in Silent Hill: Homecoming. First revealed to the press, and then later at E3 to the public, Pyramid head has undergone a few changes, mixing the designs between the movie and Silent Hill 2 to create something unique and fresh. Apart from his obvious helment change, he also comes equiped with a new, serrated Great Knife. Pyramid Head was and still is the iconic figure head of Silent Hill, appearing in Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill (Film, 2006) and Silent Hill: Homecoming.

A brand new boss to the franchise, Scarlet appears to resemble that of a doll. Details on Scarlet are scarce, although it does look as though it will degrade and change forms as you quite literally smash it to pieces.

Sepulcher is a gigantic monster which attacks by swiping Alex while hanging from the ceiling.

One of the first Silent Hill: Homecoming (Known as Silent Hill V at the time) videos to ever be released. This video shows the world transforming from the "foggy" Silent Hill to the "Hell-state" in real time. The effects are clearly inspired by the movie and is a much-promoted feature of Silent Hill: Homecoming. |
