Info: Asphyixa was first revealed by an artwork leak at the end of 2007. The design has remained much the same, other than more emphases on suffocation, which is of course what "Asphyixa" is. You can clearly see a pair on hands smothering its face. The sexual theme is quite pronounced in Asphyxia, as it appears to be people literally piled on top of each other.
Strategy:
Asphyxia can, and will, kick your ass if you don't know what you're doing, but once you've got a strategy she's not all that hard to beat. Asphyxia can unleash some vicious attacks, including one which lifts Alex up and throws him down, which on the harder diffuculty setting can be devasating.
The basic goal during this fight is to get behind her and hack away at her... ass, basically. The lower segements of the body towards the back are what you want to attack. Attacking her full-on in the face will only cause her visual damage to her skin, and not actual damage, so don't waste your time with a full scale attack on her face. To get behind Asphysixa, all you need to do is dodge. Dodge enough attacks and she will lunge towards you, if you sucessfully dodge the lunge you'll be given a few key seconds to start attacking her from behind. When enough damage is dealt, a button prompt will appear and the fight will end.
