Today, Konami have officially announced that Silent Hill: Homecoming will suffer a delay until Feb 2009, such like Germany. No reason was given, though I expect it might be to do with censoring, or hopefully some bug fixes and such.
We'll keep you updated if anything changes.
Thanks to Richard from Xtaster for letting me know!
According to VGChartz.com, Silent Hill: Homecoming has sold an average 111,000 copies during it's first week across both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 formats in the US. The Xbox 360 version sold 65,000 copies, ranking it 4th in the US chart for this week. The PlayStation 3 version sold the remaining 46,000 copies making it the 12th in the US chart.
GameTrailers.com have finally reviewed Silent Hill: Homecoming, scoring it an average 7.7/10. You can watch the review for yourself here. Be warned though, the review does contain a lot of new scenes which could be considered spoilers.
Even though most of us have played and completed it by now, another Silent Hill: Homecoming trailer will be shown at the Tokyo Gameshow today at the Sony booth. Chances are it will be an old trailer, but it's worth a mention to those who just have to see everything!

I have recently had the opportunity to sit down and play the U.S. version of Silent Hill: Homecoming on the Playstation 3. After completing the game several times I have compiled my own review on the title and I explain why I feel Silent Hill: Homecoming is amongst one of the best instalments in the series yet.
G4 have reviewed Silent Hill: Homecoming and scored it a decent 4/5. They make some valid points but also some unusual ones like their comment on the loads times and they cite the combat and controls as being good, as well as Alex's "likeable" design despite also mentioning that long time fans might be put off by him. I certainly wasn't, but watch it here and judge for yourself:
Many fans are still waiting for a official release date for Silent Hill: Homecoming in Europe. However Konami has recently launched a website for the Japanese release of the game which only has the Japan boxart to look at for now, which looks pretty cool and even features a different logo to the U.S. and European boxart. There is no word as to when Silent Hill: Homecoming will hit Japan but we predict it will be shortly after the European release in December or January next year. Konami are yet to confirm an exact release date for Silent Hill: Homecoming in Europe but we know it's due sometime next month in November.
Lots of people have been emailing me and asking who to find the Rifle in Silent Hill: Homecoming, so I thought I'd make a post explaining it before all our site content (walkthrough etc) is finished. The explanation could be considered spoilers, so continue reading (or click here) to see the solution.
Thanks to Daniel Beck & Silent Skeelz for the info!
